Best DIY Halloween Costumes of 2016

Halloween has come and gone. Since the holiday fell on a Monday this year, people started celebrating as early as Thursday, October 27! Talk about a spooktacular Halloweekend.

We would be lying if we said we loved Halloween strictly for the abundance of candy corn. The real greatness of the holiday comes in the form of DIY costumes. Sure, some people purchase their looks from the local costume stores, but we really love it when people get creative and show off their inner designers.

To honor those awesome homemade costumes we saw swarming our social media feeds, we decided to pull together some of our favorite DIY Halloween costumes that stole the show this year. Showing looks from some Drift Babes and Drifters as well as creative celebs that nailed their characters, here are some of the best DIY Halloween costumes of 2016.

Who said there was such thing as being too old to play dress up?

We have to give credit to everyone who made their own costumes this year and got creative with their characters!

Which costume in this post was your favorite? We think Bey and Jay look way too (un)real!
